Prenatal Visits
When you choose to invite people into your birth space, it is very important that you feel comfortable and safe with them. To ensure we have time to get to know each other before your baby’s birth, I like to offer monthly prenatal visits up until the 36th week.
From there, we will meet every two weeks until your baby is born. During these visits, we may find ourselves discussing general questions/concerns you have, developing birth and postpartum plans, finding evidence-based information and practicing pain management techniques you may want to implement during labor.
These visits are also a great time for your partner to be present so that we can discuss ways for them to be involved and their comfort level with the labor and birth process.
Labor and Birth
When you reach the 37th week of pregnancy, I will be considered on-call. While I like to be informed as soon as labor starts, it is up to you when to invite me into your birth space.
Once I have arrived, I will be present to offer you support physically, emotionally, and mentally throughout the duration of labor and birth. You will be empowered
to make informed decisions, reminded of your birth preferences and encouraged to move freely to allow baby optimal space.
I believe partners have a very
important and special role during birth, so I will encourage their involvement to the degree you two, as a couple, are comfortable with.
Postpartum Visits
Birth is a transformative experience. Whether it’s your first time or not, you and your partner should feel supported. Once your baby is born, I will remain by your side for up to two hours or until you are comfortably settled in and ready for quiet time with your family.
I will be available for a postpartum visit within that first week, along with one visit every month up until your baby is six months old. It is important to me that the postpartum period is treated with care; Should you need extra support outside of my scope of work I will be more than happy to find and provide you with the appropriate local resources. (lactation consultant, pelvic floor therapist, etc.)
Fees
My fee for the services described is $1,000.
A $400 retainer fee is due when you sign
the agreement, which reserves your expected due date on my schedule. I will not book out any other clients between 37 and 42 weeks of your pregnancy.
The remaining balance is due three weeks before your expected due date (around 37 weeks). However, you are free to make installment payments up to that date.
Check, cash, PayPal, or Venmo (with you covering any fees) are accepted.
